SIR. is entering jewelry.
The nine-year-old contemporary fashion label is expanding into the category with a collection of earrings inspired by artwork created by artist Frankie Tobin for the brand’s resort 2024 collection, which is launching in conjunction with the jewelry collection on Monday.
“Jewelry is something close to both of our hearts,” said SIR. founders Nikki Campbell and Sophie Coote. “We love styling it with our personal wardrobes and in our campaigns. The ability to lift an outfit with the right jewelry is key to a strong capsule wardrobe, and it’s something we have always been interested in bringing to the SIR. repertoire. This season we collaborated with Frankie Tobin, who created two artworks for us. We transformed the art into a print which has been cast across a collection of swim and ready-to-wear. The shapes in the artwork had this incredible organic form which we thought would lend perfectly to jewelry.”
The earrings are designed in 100 percent brass nano plate and are embellished with colored resin details. SIR. is offering the earrings as singular styles, which is meant to encourage mixing and matching. The pieces range in price from $160 to $190.
The founders explained the earrings fit the brand’s design aesthetic because they’re “contemporary with a feminine edge” as well as versatile, which they believe has been seen through their brand’s DNA since they launched.
SIR. has plans to continue producing pieces in the jewelry category, with another collection slated for release alongside their spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection.
