WINNIE — As the Texas Rice Festival comes to an end, many events are still underway.
The Saturday morning kick-off was marked by a Presentation of Colors, a gesture orchestrated by the Boy Scouts.
The highlight of the day was the Grand Parade, which commenced at Chestnut Street around 10 a.m. and meandered through the vibrant W-S Park, leaving an incredible mark on the festival’s legacy.
The Rice Festival events don’t end there; an array of engaging events continues to unfold throughout Saturday.
The rest of Saturday’s events include multiple musical performances, auctions and drawings.
Musical performances include the Tejas Brothers, Shenandoah and The Kings of Neon.
